I am going with my gut and moving on from HEY to Fastmail. As much as I love HEY, the monthly subscription reminds me how I am not using the service enough to justify the cost.

I am also extremely frustrated with the search -- it barely works. I can't find any email with the constrained interface. I don't know how HEY has survived so long with such a basic feature missing.

It feels good that I finally took the plunge and went ahead with the migration away from HEY. Setting everything up on Fastmail was comparatively simpler than what I had anticipated. Any potential pitfall I might have missed? 🤔

@amit that is why I am moving too, from Proton to Fastmail; Proton Calendar has no Search on mobile and it is crucial to me; and alias / address management and use is also much easier on Fastmail.

@mdalves Yeah, search is too basic a functionality for mail/calendar service. It is surprising how very few services focus on this. I also understand there has to be a cost associated. Plus alias -- I didn't know Proton doesn't do it well.
