I live in Kentucky, where my state’s legislature just passed an aggressive ban on gender-affirming care for transgender youth. The ACLU noted that the law is “among the most extreme anti-trans attacks in the United States.”

Sadly, what happened here is part of a broader playbook that’s being run across the entire nation. It’s disgusting and pathetic, and we won’t forget who’s behind the hate.
