Rescue Terminators.

So named and themed because these are ebay rescues.

These were cursed with too much glue, no mould-line removal, some sprue gates still attached, some broken off with some of the model, but no paint thankfully.

The rescue required sawing arms off, fixing areas with plasticard and making a feature of any damage as the results of battle.

I then themed them as a space hulk extraction squad and made custom bases.

It's my birthday, so I thought I would celebrate by trying out a 90's style 5 paint challenge..... I have no idea how this will end up!!!!

No battlefield is clean.

Clem over at the Crown of Command discord shared this wonderful pic of one of his Retro Battle Tank prints in one of his fantastic 2nd edition 40k battle reports and it put such a big grin on my face he said I could share it with other folks.

Der Winter war lang... und nicht gänzlich unproduktiv. Meine MechanicumBattlegroup ist fertig, ergänzt um einen Techmarine aus dem 3D-Drucker (ok. 10k Jahre zu früh) und einen Reaktor.

Ist nicht unbedingt gut geworden, hat aber reichlich Spaß gemacht!
Wichtig: Dazu etwas Ruhe, ein Glas Wein und ein guter w40k-Podcast.

Das nächste Projekt geht Richtung Thousand Sons. Ich brauche Gelände!

Crisis suit.

I wanted to alter the standard crisis suit to make it unique and try out some really "out there" ideas.

Among these, I rebuilt the jet pack, incorporated the burst cannon into one arm, and installed a bright-lance into the shoulder of the other arm.

I also scratch-built a hand for the non-gun arm, swapped the head out, and added various other elements to tie it into my army/collection.
