XF9Markarian's Chain This is a group of galaxies in the Virgo constellation. The brighter ones, including M84 and M86 on the right side, appear to be placed on a curved line. But there are so many background galaxies! I had the image annotated and while it did annotate galaxies that aren't in the image (because they are so dim) it show just how many of these are in there. This is a target I wanted to shoot for quite some time. Unfortunately it's low, right in a light dome, and mostly obstructed by trees and houses. It just so happend that the timing was near perfect the last week, so all these constraints aren't as serve. Still very n00by, but I was amazed seeing Saturn's moons Ganymede, Europa and Callisto! Having watched <a href="https://fosstodon.org/tags/theexpanse" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#theexpanse</a>, I know exactly what'll go down there in a few hundred years... 😄I then went to try and shoot nebulae from my balcony in Zurich - but got nothing but light pollution.
