My favourite journalling app (actually it has been the only one I have used for a very long time) has brought in some very neat updates to the iPad which I am enjoying lately

Random thought, maybe along with my journalling DayOne can be my notes app as well. Its E2EE, its everywhere and its a joy to use 🤔🤔🤔

I was looking at journal apps to potentially migrate to and started looking at Day One but found out it’s owned by Automattic? Meh! Gonna stick with Notes app for now.

I wish there were a non-proprietary system that you can just use with iCloud and save the files as markdown or something.

If you're currently on #DayOne and also want to leave the drama behind, I have two (soon to be five) scripts I could use a few Beta Testers and Doc writers for. It's still a bit of a slog installing all the plugins needed in Obsidian and doing a manual conversion of your Day One journal(s), but it's not rocket science.

A single entry with a grid photo layout, on this day, completed habits, tag search, and more.

Anytype looks very interesting with p2p synchronization! It might replace multiples of software on my side: Obsidian Hoarder, Dayone, and Reminder. A self-hosted solution is available, too!

Are anyone using this solution?
