I had to double check, but anyway, if you get mail like this, do not click anything there and open the website yourself, just to be safe.</p><p><a href="https://scalie.zone/tags/porkbun" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>porkbun</span></a> <a href="https://scalie.zone/tags/domains" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>domains</span></a></p>
Clayton<p>Today I got a phishing email about renewing my website domain. I was able to identify the sender domain, web link, random IP in the body, and the domain registrar.</p><p>I went to each of these and submitted a support and abuse ticket with them each to take down the phishing attempt.</p><p>Surprisingly, <a href="https://polymaths.social/tags/dreamhost" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>dreamhost</span></a> who sent the email reached back out for additional information to address the situation.</p><p><a href="https://polymaths.social/tags/firebase" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>firebase</span></a> had a dedicated reporting page for reporting such activity. I hope Google does something with this.</p><p>Finally, <a href="https://polymaths.social/tags/porkbun" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>porkbun</span></a> also had great support to help address the issue from their side. This is what makes Porkbun great!</p><p>I'm glad each of these entities took great action on this issue, and hopefully reporting the phising attempt helps others who might not have noticed.</p><p>If you see something phishy or not right, take the time to report it as well.</p>

Bumble<p>I've had several phishing emails stating that various of my domain names are about to expire. Very well constructed emails, which look like they are from <a href="https://ibe.social/tags/Porkbun" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#Porkbun</a><span>. FAKE!<br><br>Be careful out there peeps -- there are some horrible people aiming to steal your hard-earned cash</span></p>
Daniel Ares<p>Is that just me or is the amount of <a href="https://federation.network/tags/phishing" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#phishing</a> mails for <a href="https://federation.network/tags/porkbun" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#porkbun</a> especially high? Never had that many for any other domain registrar.</p>

ToddZ Ⓥ<p>I just saved a client 51% on a slew of domain renewals by transferring everything from GoDaddy to <a href="https://social.linux.pizza/tags/Porkbun" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>Porkbun</span></a>. </p><p>It was super easy and fast. 10/10 would transfer again.</p><p><a href="https://social.linux.pizza/tags/domains" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>domains</span></a></p>
Madame Aronow<p>Fedi recommended <a href="https://hachyderm.io/tags/porkbun" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>porkbun</span></a> for domains and... can I just gush about them for a minute? </p><p>I tried my hand at domain forwarding with <a href="https://hachyderm.io/tags/Carrd" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>Carrd</span></a> but their documentation was out of date. K, cool.</p><p>Jumped on with porkbun support, was chatting with a helpful human within two minutes :blobfoxbongo: </p><p>Not only was Trevor the Support Guy friendly and helpful but he also walked me through each step with screen grabs so I learned as we went. AND for extra credit, he's going to email Carrd and tell them to update their docs.</p><p>So anyway, if you're looking to go <a href="https://hachyderm.io/tags/domain" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>domain</span></a> shopping, HIGHLY recommend!</p>
