"The momentum is shifting. Wisconsin was a decisive win. Gaps in Florida’s US House districts are narrowing. And Democratic Senator Cory Booker just shattered segregationist Strom Thurmond’s record in congress with a 25-hour protest speech – a symbolic moment, but one that suggests renewed energy on the left."

@GreenFire and we get this "Captain of Industry" 'til 2028 thanks to a third party washer. Farmers "may" see a sideloaded reprieve. How about not effing things up like a noodle head in the first place? Just pretend COVID never happened and everything can just go back to business as usual with a snap of your fingers. Big picture thinker there, that one. I'm surprised he even goes on camera with Amna, he looks like he wants to rip out her eyes.

Earlier this week, all American eyes were on Wisconsin as two judges duked it out for a seat on the state’s supreme court — a race that Elon Musk poured millions into. @bolts’s Alex Burness wrote the definitive story on what happened and what it all means. “Today should be a breaking point for our state. Even if your preferred candidate wins, … every single Wisconsinite should be alarmed at this grotesque billionaire arms race,” Nick Ramos, executive director of the Wisconsin Democracy Center, told Bolts late Tuesday, before the result was announced. “The past two months have shown us a terrifying preview of what’s coming: an America where billionaires run the show, and the rest of us are just spectators.”

Visited with students and gave slide talks two days ago- and pulled tubes with some very talented students yesterday. Gonna give another demo for UW glassblowing students today.

It's like my birthday came early with the tubes. Gonna make a video at some point to share the glassblowing fun- but Amber an Skye were SO helpful, with Amber having blown glass since they were very young, and learning to pull tubes from my favorite tube puller in Tacoma.

I saw wonderful undergrad and graduate student work, seen here are Amber's "two truths and a lie" tubes covered in black glass powder and resist sandblasted through (I pulled some of that black/ brown). A studio visit with Morgan, a third year grad student was very neat- their ceramic and neon sculptures playing with texture, dementia, memory, and structure- integrating the neon and clay quite nicely.
