#defederation is going to wind up being the death of Mastodon. It's getting thrown around too easily and used way too much, leave it up to individual users to block the accounts, but just cutting off a whole instance from the userbase is just even more going to fit into the whole mastodon is hard narrative. Going to have to move around to, or have multiple accounts where a specific instance isn't defederated? Gonna kill it. The power went right to some peoples heads.
