The Indigo Girls are playing #RVA in June and I have tickets. 
It's been about 30 years since I've seen them live.
@chrisod About 23 years since I saw them (Wolf Trap in VA). And coincidentally I just texted a friend in England 2 hours ago to suggest an IG song for her (Watershed). I have been a fan since 1986 or so, and found it so awesome when I got to be their bodyguards at a concert in Santa Monica.

@rickscully Great photos! I saw then in a tiny club in their early days in Atlanta, 1990 or 1991 maybe?
@chrisod @rickscully way back in like 85/86 they used to stay with us when they played the tiny bar in Charleston SC where my roommate worked. Haven't seen them since, wonder if they remember us? They were regulars on the club circuit in the southeast then, my roommate called it Dykes on the Deck night because all the lesbians in Charleston would turn out. 
@flisswave @chrisod my first live Indigo Girls experience was them opening for Grateful Dead at Autzen Stadium in Eugene, Oregon.
The gig where I was their bodyguard was the Honor the Earth Tour in 1995. I still have lots of small advertising posters from that event still in the envelope they came in. I still have the signed all access pass somewhere. I should find them loving homes soon.
@chrisod Just saw them again last year and they still put on a great show (though Emily does have to strain her voice a good bit, she is still awesome). Apparently, they're playing with an orchestra in Fairfax soon, too.
@laze They are playing at Lewis Ginter Botanical Gardens - outdoor show. Now we just need good weather that night.
