A drawing of an erinys swordswoman, continuing my exploration of what winged humanoids do with their wings when not unfurled behind them.

Here the wings are slung low as a kind of battle-skirt. Apparently it makes the wielder look a bit like a Christmas tree? Might need to refine the design—I'm sure it's been done before many times.

Not sure what the tendrils coming out the back are supposed to be.

Having spent the entirety of last month knocking out drawings for #Arttrober, I decided to break from drawing.

For one day.

*Then* I decided to actually draw something fun that I could spend more than a few hours on.

So obviously I drew another erinys / tiefling / demoness. Here she is!

I wanted to play a bit with pose and perspective—hopefully to good effect.

As ever, comments/feedback welcome.

Huh. Just noticed that I joined Mastodon 1 year ago today.

I've always been terrible with social media, and now I'm... still pretty bad. But the Fediverse has provided a venue to post my #tiefling, #erinys and other fantasy character illustrations, so that's been nice, and I've also gotten to see a lot of great art from others and post about games.

So... thanks everyone!

@ravanon said they want to make #erinys a tag, so I thought I'd add the two (not quite accurate) contributions I've done. Not technically an erinys but it gives me an excuse to make myself share more of my art. lol

Azriel, a D&D character (my PC), a war-ragged alu-fiend with a perchance for abject & brutal violence:

Azriel. A three-quarters figure of demonic woman with horns and bat-like wings. Wearing rough armor and holding a sword in one hand and a decapitated head in the other. She has her arms wide and is screaming at an unseen foe. Across her body are scars, these are highlighted with red ink while the rest of the image is black and white.
