I really don't know how this photo was taken. I took the photo in a small museum in Rome, years ago. It is a strange reflection. It seems like the ceiling and also the facade with windows are mirrored, but in what? Was there perhaps a mirrored floor? But how can there be a hole in the ceiling? I have no idea. Who ever figures it out, I'd love to hear it.

This is difficult to describe. The photo was taken from below, but at an angle. The photo is monochrome. You are looking up at a facade (in Rome) with two rectangular windows above each other with wooden slatted shutters. From the bottom window you can see the beautiful decoration of plasterwork above it. You see the facade through what looks like a mirrored square ceiling, but with a large round hole in it. Because it is a reflection you look through the entire ceiling. Around the square ceiling and around the large hole in the middle, beautiful plasterwork, and in the corners flowers of plasterwork. It seems as if you are looking at a facade through a transparent ceiling.
