Ich hatte das hier vor ein paar Tagen auf eBay gesehen und konnte nicht widerstehen: Eine deutsche EGA-Version von "Monkey Island" auf 8 x 5.25 Zoll Disketten. Anders als mein bisheriges DiskSet jedoch mit weißen, gedruckten Labels. Ich denke, das ist eine etwas neuere Variante.
Hab euch die Disketten natürlich gleich wieder eingescannt und hochgeladen. Viel Spaß!

Admittedly, that makes me feel like sharing the tribute I made to two great games last year. One of which was a classic #LucasArts point & click adventure. :D
As a fan of the original 16 color EGA version of "Monkey Island", I went through some trouble to find a decent German floppy disk version of that game. That's great and all, but today I learned that, for that exact game version alone, there are at least 3 different styles of disks and label designs. Holy cow, why?!

Okay, so on #ScummVM, to get some platform-specific audio working properly, like FM-TOWNS versions of #LucasArts games, you need to disable the "Mixed AdLib/MIDI mode", otherwise you'll get the same audio as DOS versions even if you've selected the specific audio peripheral under the "Audio" tab in the game's options.

Checked on a bug report I filed with ScummVM a while back about errors in the font drop shadows in the TurboGrafx-16 version of LOOM.
Turns out it's been 12 months and it's still open, and in all that time nobody else has even commented on it. :P
That last detail is a relic of some early builds where all room exits were marked with pictures on the GUI. This was probably cut to avoid players trying to cast drafts on them, but evidently one exit indicator was left in by mistake in version 1.0.
Other differences in LOOM EGA version 1.0 include slightly different text under the Lucasfilm Games logo, and a stray image in the GUI to denote the exit from the mountain spiral staircase leading back into the dragon's cave which was deleted in later builds.
TIL that version 1.0 of LOOM EGA features more stars in the area Outside the Pattern than later builds have.
