My sleep is broken
My Mental Health is broken
My body is broken in so many little ways...
It's a Gordian tangle and I'm a bit sick of not knowing what's affecting what.
(NB: Again, this is not a Pity Me post. Kindness and Support are always welcome but not being specifically requested at this time. Other people need that from you much more than I do; just have a scroll. Despite it all I am, in my star-like core, robust enough internally to bear these burdens...for now)
SO.
Let's try and fix this as much as I can, starting with sleep, perchance? Sleep feels pretty foundational, doesn't it? Aye, there's the rub. Bad sleep means life is harder across the board. Without being funny I'm really tired of not sleeping.
Enter: Sleepio.com, prescribed by my GP (US'ians = HMO). I've just signed up and gone through the onboarding process, answered a lot of questions about sleep quality, quantity, goals, etc, and completed Session 1.
According to Sleepio, 90% Sleep Efficiency (tm) is where we feel Rested after sleeping. My sleep efficiency score is 49%. Even I had to laugh at that.
I'm also now committed to recording my sleep every day this week. I bought an ultra-cheap (cautious, toe-dipping) little smartwatch fitness-tracker thing earlier this month that is perfect for this, as long as I can stand wearing the thing: I haven't worn a watch since the 80s. But you know what shut up Uraael this is Medical so you can bally well live with a little irritation if it helps you in the long run, a'richt?

It's a six week course. We'll see how we go.
